And the leaf withered away.

Look at the girl there,
almost naked,
with nothing but a leaf,
in her room all dark,
but a broken light which she hardly could see,
she just contemplated a suicide,
but she never had the courage which was the need.

She sat under the window,
but she could never see the broken light,
she regretted for all she was,
cause she couldn't even die!

Her skin was rough,
her hair was a mess,
she was naked but a leaf,
which covered her modesty,
leaf was the hope she was hanging to,
leaf was the prince she was waiting for.

But she never saw the broken light....

Dark, how dark it was to see!
She ran around hitting the walls,
for, she could never break them.
she felt she was tied,
tied down to die,
but the hope always burnt the light in those coldest of nights,

But she never saw the broken light...

she never tried to see the light,
for she thought
she was too tired to see.

And the leaf withered away just like it does in one of those coldest of winter nights.........

oh! I don't like to rhyme, it stops the flow and makes it look artificial.
